Front Door Web

I build your website first.
You decide after.

Websites for local trades and shops around Colorado. I build yours from your own details, send you the link, and you pay only if you want to keep it.

The Front Door Web logo, an open front door

Hi, I'm Mikey. Front Door Web is just me, working out of Evergreen, Colorado. No agency, no sales team, and nobody reading from a script. If you write to me, I'm the one who writes back, and I'm the one who builds your site.

— Mikey

Three I made, running live right here.

Not screenshots. These are the actual pages, loading inside the frames. Tap one to open it full size.

These are demonstrations, not customers. I am starting out, so I would rather show you honest examples than pretend a stranger's website was my work. When I have customers happy to be named, they will appear here instead.

How it works. Two of the three steps are mine.

  1. 1

    I build it

From your real details: your services, your hours, your photographs. Nothing invented, nothing borrowed from another business.

  2. 2

    You look at it

I send you a link to the finished site. Take as long as you like. Nothing to pay at this point, and nobody rings you.

  3. 3

    You decide

Keep it and it goes live on your own web address, and I look after it. Don't, and that is genuinely fine. There is no invoice.

Light enough to open the moment someone taps it.

A heavy homepage makes a phone download a lot before it can show anything. The pages I build carry only what they need.

Most local business homepages 824 KB
A site I build — this page, examples and all under 100 KB

That 824 KB is the middle figure from 72 local business homepages I measured around Denver: my own research, not a statistic I read somewhere.

One price, and nothing hidden behind it.

$149a month, no contract.
Building it costs you nothing.

  • Your own web addressset up for you

Straight answers.

Why did you email me out of the blue?

Because I looked at your website and found something specific worth fixing: the homepage is much heavier than it needs to be, or it does not fit a phone screen, or it does not load at all. If none of that were true I would not have written. Reply with the word UNSUBSCRIBE and I will not contact you again.

What if I already have a website?

Then I will usually build a version of yours first, so you can put the two side by side rather than take my word for it.

Who owns the site and the web address?

You do. If you stop paying I take the site down off my hosting. I do not touch your domain name or your email. Those stay yours.

Will this get me more customers?

I do not know, and anyone who promises you a number is guessing. What I can tell you is what the site will do: load quickly, work on a phone, show your phone number clearly, and say what you actually do.

How do I cancel?

One click in the billing page, any time, with no phone call and no notice period. You keep the month you have paid for.

Who am I dealing with?

Mikey, running Front Door Web on my own from Evergreen, Colorado. You deal with me directly, and I do the work.

Want to see yours?

Send me your business name and I'll build it and send you the link. No cost, no call, no obligation.
